Josh Burnette
Josh brings nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of successive legal leadership roles having collaborated with and advised business leaders on a wide range of legal, compliance and business matters across a multitude of sectors. Most recently, Josh served as North American General Counsel at DS Smith, an international publicly traded packaging, paper and recycling company, where he built and led the company’s North American legal function while partnering with the business units and functions to help drive their success. Prior to DS Smith, Josh was a leader at Southwire Company, North America’s largest electrical wire and cable developer, where he served in a commercial capacity creating and leading several cross-functional teams responsible for M&A integration and strategic planning activities following six years of successive legal leadership roles. Josh began his legal career as a corporate and transactional attorney at McKenna Long & Aldridge (now Dentons) in Atlanta, GA. He holds a J.D. from the Mercer University School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Richmond, where he was a four-year letterman on the football team.
